Ingredients
- 2 kg grasshoppers
- 3 tsps salt
- 1 onion, chopped
- wood ash

Method
- After catching the grasshoppers, clean them thoroughly by removing all the wings, legs, and the hairlike tail fin
- To make this work easier, first dip all the insects into wood ash and remove them one by one as you clean.
- Wash the insects until clean and free from ash.
- Place a clean saucepan on the fire and drop in the grasshoppers then stir continuously for about 15 minutes
- Sprinkle them with salt, add the chopped tomatoes and onions, then stir continuously for about 10 minutes.
- They are then ready to serve
