How to cook Spider Plant or Amaranth Side Dish

 


Ingredients

    Ingredients for 4 people

  1. 1.5 kg spider plant or amaranth leaves
  2. 1 banana leaf
  3. pinch of baking powder
  4. salt

Method

  1. Wash and chop the leaves
  2. Wrap them in a banana leaf and, for the spider plant leaves, add a pinch of baking powder to help soften them
  3. Steam them with, or on top, of another food like bananas or sweet potatoes.
  4. Add a pinch of salt once ready. Serve as a cooked salad.
